Margaret Sandidge Taylor, 88, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 19, 1924, to the late Clyde M. and Nora Long Sandidge and was a resident of Bristol, Tenn. for nearly 40 years. She was the widow of Joe Ray Taylor. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Anthony "Tony" Stickel; great-grandson, Dominick Street; two sisters, Lena Fay Sandidge Borst and Patricia Sandidge Booher; and two brothers, Jack and Sam Sandidge. Margaret loved storytelling, fried chicken, country music and dancing. She was a drummer in the "Country Hearts" band for many years and was a member and contributor to the Fraternal Order of Police. Most of all, she was a generous and giving person who loved her family and all she knew. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Stickel; grandson, Sean St. Clair; granddaughters, Angela Lee and Nikki Stickel; brother, Mitch Sandidge; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, November, 18, 2013, at Blevins Funeral and Cremation Services, Bristol, Virginia. The funeral mass will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bristol, Va. with the burial to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Blevins Funeral and Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA 24201 to cover funeral expenses.
