Mrs. Vestal Lawson Caffarelli of Enterprise, AL passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the family residence following an extended illness. She was 87.

A funeral mass will be held at 1 pm Thursday, June 23 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Kingsport, TN. Entombment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery with East Lawn Funeral Home directing. Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise is charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Caffarelli was born December 17, 1923 in Sullivan County, TN to the late George and Anna Hawk Lawson. She loved and was devoted to her family. She was an excellent mother and grandmother and a source of wisdom who loved the Lord. Mrs. Caffarelli was a member of St. John Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, a brother, George Lawson, Jr, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Terri Caffarelli, Enterprise; 4 grandchildren: Thomas R. Caffarelli (Jamie), Mays Landing, NJ, Catherine R. Caffarelli, Enterprise, Desiree Belcher (Jonathan), Oahu, HI, David Feyen, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; 1 great-grandson, Benjamin Michael Caffarelli, Mays Landing, NJ; 4 sisters: Lois Wiseman, Stanton, VA, Gladys Lawson, Elizabeth Dunn, Jean Herman, all of Kingsport; 1 brother, H.B. Lawson, Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.
