Obituary for Peggy Newman
Peggy Joyce Newman, age 66, of 280 Riverview Drive, Bluff City, died Friday, March 18, 2005 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Wise County, VA, she was a daughter of the late William Franklin and Carmela Santelli Hayes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bluff City. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Allen Newman, Sr. of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Chris McCroskey, Blountville, Carmela and Arlan Johnson, Bluff City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth A. "Tony" and Angie Smith and Allen and Lori Newman, all of Bluff City; step-parents, Lyle and Reba Smith, Bluff City; one brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Carol Hayes, Austin, TX; four grandsons and two granddaughters. Several friends and loved ones also survive.
The graveside service for Mrs. Newman will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2005 in Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City, with Rev. Lawrence Stout officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 20 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home- Bluff City Chapel.

Obituary for Herbert Newman,
Herbert A. Newman, Sr., age 68, of 280 Riverview Drive, Bluff City, TN died Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Bristol Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Washington County, VA, he was a son of the late Raymond L. Newman Sr. and Thelma Ruth Johnson Newman. He was a member of First Baptist of Bluff City and was a U.S Air Force Veteran. Mr. Newman was a retired dental service technician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Joyce Newman in 2005; a brother Vernon A. Newman, and one sister Joyce Ann Newman.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Chris McCrosky, Blountville, Carmela and Arlan Johnson, Bluff City; two sons, and daughters-in-law, Tony A. and Angie Smith, Bluff City, Allen and Lori Newman, Bluff City; five grandsons, and two granddaughters; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond Newman, Jr. and Gail Newman, Bluff City; one sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Sid Burnette, Bluff City; step-father-in-law and spouse, Lyle and Reba Smith, Bluff City; one Brother-in-law and spouse, Bud and Carol Hayes, Austin, TX. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City, with Rev. Lawrence Stout and Brother Tony Deel officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will receive friends Monday, August 14 from 5:30 until 7:30 P.M. in the Tetrick Funeral Home- Bluff City Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Sword, Jacob Newman, Mikel Richard, Matt McCroskey, Kolton Smith, and Ben Newman. Everyone will meet at the cemetery Tuesday at 12:50 P.M. for the graveside service.
