BLUFF CITY -- Arzella O. Malone, age 89, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at the Cambridge House.
Mrs. Malone was a lifelong resident of the Bluff City area and a daughter of the late William and Mae Miller Harmon. She was the widow of Ralph Malone and was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Myrtle Harmon. Mrs. Malone was a member of Bluff City Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Arlene Leonard, Eula Dean Rumley and Brenda Leonard, all of Bluff City; one son, Ken Malone of Bluff City; one sister, Willetta Miracle of Bluff City; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2003, in Bluff City Baptist Church, with Rev. Joe Blankenship and Rev. Jerry Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Odum, Donnie Watson, Charles Kirkpatrick, Cleatis Boling, Jack Leonard and Gary Leonard. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Bluff City Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2003,at Akard Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of a daughter, Eula Dean Rumley, 780 Dry Branch Road, Bluff City. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family of Mrs. Malone at akardfh@peercom.net.
