Sanford A. Lyon, age 59, of Bluff City died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. He was the son of the late William"Billy" Lyon and Fannie B. Morrell Lyon of Cambridge Nursing Home. Sanford was employed by Hurts Grocery, Bluff City for several years and a former employee of Ford Motor Company, Johnson City. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Gay Lyon. Survivors in addition to his mother include several cousins and many friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lyon will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 9, 2007 at Tetrick Funeral Home - Bluff City Chapel with Rev. Bud Malone officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City. Active pallbearers will be James Akard, Jimmy Malone, Charlie Owens, Jack Owens, Charles Randolph, Stanley Webb and Johnny Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Eads, C. O. Hurt, Jerry Hurt, Earl Malone, Randy Malone, Bill Riley and Guy Wilson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. prior to the service in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City.
