Fannie B. Lyon, age 92, of Bluff City died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Sullivan County she was a daughter of the late Arthur H. and Elva Nickels Morrell. She was a member of Bluff City Baptist Church. Mrs. Lyon was preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Billy" Lyon, a son, Sanford Lyon, a daughter, Eliea Lyon, a brother, Herb Morrell and a sister, Anna Lee Morrell. Survivors include a niece, Edna Hurd of Bristol and a nephew James Morrell of Bluff City. Several cousins and friends also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lyon will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Tetrick Funeral Home - Bluff City Chapel with Pastor Bud Malone officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 P.M., Saturday prior to the service in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment will be at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Sunrise Cemetery. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 12:50 P.M.
