Joseph Clyde Harrington, age 81, of Bluff City, TN passed away on September 7, 2011 at Bristol Nursing Home. He was born in Sullivan County a son to the late Rhea and Florence Booher Harrington. He was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from Bristol Metals where he worked in maintenance. Joseph also enjoyed farming and was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Harrington was preceded in death by his wife Melvina Woodby Harrington and three sisters – Mary Perry, Edith Perry, and Betty Lou Harrington#75101571.
Survivors include: Sons – Joe Harrington and wife Linda, Jerry Harrington, and Ronnie Harrington
Grandchildren – Ray Harrington and Ryan Harrington
Sister - Sue Jenkins
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Niles Kitzmiller officiating at Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 pm at Weaver Funeral Home. Online condolences may be registered at www.Weaverfuneralhome.net.

Melvina Harrington Melvina Woodby Harrington, age 78, 180 Harrington Hollow Road, Bluff City went home to be with her Lord Saturday, March 15, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Sullivan County, TN to the late Worley and Bessie Gross Woodby. She was of the Christian Faith. Mrs. Harrington was a homemaker and liked the flea market. She collected Madame Alexander Dolls. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Maude Woodby and Myrtle Woodby. Survivors include her husband of over fifty years, Joseph "J.C." Harrington of the home; three sons, Joe Harrington and wife Linda, Jerry Harrington, and Ronnie Harrington all of Bluff City; one sister, Gladys Nelson and husband Franklin of Bristol, TN; four brothers, Melvin Woodby and wife Bessie, Ernest Woodby and wife Pat, Albert Woodby, all of Bristol, TN and Elmer Woodby and wife Gay of Bristol, VA; two grandsons, Ray Harrington and Ryan Harrington of Bluff City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The graveside service for Mrs. Harrington will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 17, 2008 at Sunrise Cemetery with Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery at 1:55 Monday. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, March 16, 2008 in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
