Charles September 22, 1920 - September 27, 2005
Charles W. Hicks, age 85, 915 Dry Branch Road, Bluff City, Tennessee went to be with his Lord Tuesday September 27,2005 in James H. Quillen VAMC, Mountain Home,Tennessee.

He was a native of Bluff City son of the late James M. and Okie Eades Hicks. He was a retired electrician, a member of Bluff City United Methodist Church, a 50 year member of Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge # 444 and Eastern Star Chapter 414.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, served in the Battle of the bulge, received two purple hearts and three bronze stars. He was a member of Preston-Fleenor V.F.W. Post 9629 and the D.A.V. Chapter 40.

He was preceded in death by; his wife Geneva Neal Hicks.

Survivor's include three daughters, Peggy Geneva Blevins, Anderson, IN, Linda K. Roberts, Kingsport, TN and Becky Perry and her husband Marvin, Knoxville,TN.
Son, Tom Hicks and his wife Linda, Bluff City, TN.
Sister, Hazel Milhorn, Bluff City, TN.

Also surviving are 11 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 P.M. Friday in Bluff City United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Hicks officiating, assisted by Rev. Bob Edmonds.

Graveside services with military Honors conducted by D.A.V. Chapter 40 will follow in Sunrise Cemetery.

Pallbearers, Mickey Forrester, Glenn Courter, Bill Finney, Steven Skaggs, Frederick Leonard and Bill Durham.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the building fund of Bluff City United Methodist Church, Shrinners Crippled Children Hospitals or A&O Air Rescue Mission , 23470 Walden Road, Abingdon, VA 24210.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday in Weaver Funeral Home.
