ARGO, ZELMA LORENE--- BLUFF CITY --
Zelma Lorene Argo, 84, of 154 Holston Drive died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Bristol Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Rev. Sidney W. Argo, and a member of Volunteer Baptist Church, Bristol, Tenn. She was a faithful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother; and she was also loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Argo was the daughter of the late Call M. and Annie Reed Gordon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Sidney Argo in 1997.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sybil and Robert Harmon of Bluff City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold A. and Kay Argo of Crystal River, Fla., and Ernest Weldon and Carole Argo of Kissimmee, Fla.; one sister, Camilla O'Connell of Kerville, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside service will be held at Sunrise Cemetery, Sunday, June 10, 2001, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Those who wish to attend the graveside are requested to meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m. to travel in procession. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends at the residence at any time.
