James A. Glover, Sr., 75, of Bluff City, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his residence. A native of Bluff City he was a son of the late William A. and Willie Opal King Glover. He was a member of Mount Holston Baptist Church and a retired employee of Sullivan County School System. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Glover and two brothers, Jack Glover and Jerry Glover. Survivors include one daughter, Janett (Glover) Pate of Bluff City; one son James Glover, Jr. of Bluff City; four grandchildren, Michelle Pate-Deuling and husband Richard, David Pate and wife Lisa, Jennifer Blevins and husband J.T. and Elizabeth Glover; nine great- grandchildren, Channing Deuling, Jayden Deuling, Brandon Pate, Matthew Pate, Andrew Pate, Mya Blevins, Logan Blevins, Chloe Blevins and Keeley Mays; two brothers, John Glover of Bluff City and Bob Glover of Holland, Michigan and three sisters, Evelyn Ealey and Carol Jenkins both of Bluff City and Janice Rosenbalm of Piney Flats. The graveside service and interment for Mr. Glover will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Friday, October 21, 2011 at Sunrise Cemetery with Pastor Phil Turner officiating. Active pallbearers will be David Pate, Richard Deuling, Channing Deuling, J.T. Blevins, Adam Milller and Johnny Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Pate and Matthew Pate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:40 P.M. Friday, October 21, 2011 at Tetrick Funeral Home - Bluff City Chapel and any time at the residence.

Nora Evelyn Glover, age 75, 1289 Mount Holston Road, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. She was born in Sullivan County, TN to the late Roy and Nancy Lingerfelt Combs. Mrs. Glover attended the Mount Holston Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Survivors include her husband, James A. Glover, Sr.; one daughter, Janett Glover Pate of Johnson City; one son, James Glover, Jr. of Bristol; one sister, Viola Lyons of Bluff City; four grandchildren, Michelle Pate-Deuling and husband, Rick, David Pate and wife Lisa, Jennifer Blevins and husband, J.T., and Elizabeth Glover; and eight great grandchildren, Channing Deuling, Jayden Deuling, Brandon Pate, Matthew Pate, Andrew Pate, Mya Blevins, Logan Blevins and Keeley Mays. The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Tetrick Funeral Home – Bluff City Chapel with Pastor Phil Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 P.M., Saturday prior to the service in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
