Daughter of the late Lillian Narcie Vincent Bankston and Jesse Lawrence Bankston. Her husbands, Bill Williams and Jim Standall, her daughter, Niomi Morris, her sons, John Ross and Buddy Williams and her brothers, Joe, Gene and Robert Bankston also preceded her in death.
