Mrs Rebecca B King Passes Away After Long and Useful Life
Funeral service over the body of Mrs Rebecca B King: aged 80 years who died at her home In Fast Chattanooga Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock were held from the residence of Mr and Mrs B F Frltts 109 Vine street Monday morning at 10 Rev R K Triplett assisted by Rev J W Moore officiated.
The Interment which was private followed In the King family in burial plot In the Citizens' cemetery The pallbearers were: Judge Lewis Shepherd J N Trigg J B Nicklln John G Rawlings R W Burns Creed F Bates Capt S J A Frazier and Tom W Crutchfield Deceased was the wife of the late John King and the daughter of Mary Ernest and John Moore She was born In Lexington Mo Shortly after her marriage in 1859 she and her husband same to Tennessee and took up their residence here They were pioneer residents of Chattanooga Mrs King was a member of the King Memorial church This church bears her name She was known and loved by a host of friends ' Surviving her are three daughters — Mrs B F Frltts Mrs J C Carmack both of this city and Mrs A C Taylor of Nashville Other survivors are a daughter-in-law Mrs Edwin C King of East Chattanooga one sister Mrs Mary A Rankin and eleven grandchildren
