WHITWELL -- Lewis Almus Williams died Monday, March 6, 2000, at his home.
He was 77. He was a retired truck driver after 39 years, a member of Victory Baptist Church, U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Teamsters Retiree Club.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Williams; daughter, Patricia Chaffin; stepdaughter, Brenda Hudson, Whitwell; two sons, Sam Williams, Sale Creek, and Dwight Williams, Nashville; stepsons, Charles and James Beach, Evensville, Tenn.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. A.C. Roy Terry and the Rev. Dennis Eggert officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
