William “Dub” Robert Davidson, 83, of Hixson, died on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at his residence.

He was an Army veteran of WWII.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Davidson; parents, Warren and Laura Davidson; and sister, Jewell Mahan.

He is survived by his daughters, Glenda Hill, of Soddy-Daisy, and Kathy Cawood, of Hixson; sisters, Reba Thompson, of Birmingham, Al., and Katherine Layne, of Hixson; granddaughter, Wendy Crumley, of Sale Creek; great-grandsons, Hunter and Colton Crumley; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Dividing Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions in honor of his great-grandson, Hunter Crumley, made to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital, Attention: Cancer Center, 910 Blackford St., Chattanooga, TN 37403; or call 778-7289.
