Dessie Opal Wilcoxen, 88, of Hixson passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, in a local hospital.
She was of the Primitive Baptist Church faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ophia Hendon Patterson; and husband, Willis C. Wilcoxen.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail W. Peters of Hixson and Diane W. Stephenson of Hixson; three grandsons, Jeffery C. Peters, Don R. Stephenson IV and William T. Stephenson; one great-granddaughter, Hallie Jane Stephenson; sisters-in-law, Lillian Brinkley of East Ridge and June Raulston of Hixson.
A private family graveside service will be today, Dec. 19, at Wilcoxen Cemetery with Rev. Joe F. Hildreth officiating.
The arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153.
