Pauline McKenzie Lane died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, in a local health care facility.
She was 73. Mrs. Lane was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess and Usher boards.
She attended Booker T. Washington High School.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, George Lane; parents, Starling and Lessie Varnell McKenzie and a brother, Starling McKenzie Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Vallie Jean McKenzie, Chattanooga, Constance Lane Arnold, Atlanta; two sons, Willie James and George Lane Jr., both of Chattanooga; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at noon at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. John D. Smith Jr. and Pastor James E. Powers officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery.
The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Mount Calvary Church.
Arrangements are by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
