Flo McCleeary, 92 of Hixson went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, November 9, 2014 with her family surrounding her at her home. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Flo was a kind, loving, and gentle woman who is now with her Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester McCleeary and her parents, John and Flossie Longstaff. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Paul) Ross, Hixson, Becky (Gary) Gildow, Ketchum, OK; Jeff (Julie) Gildow, Jason Gildow, Jordan (Jessica) Ross, Jared (Ali) Ross, Joshua (Tessa) Ross, Jenna Ross, Kaisie (Jared) Kano; great grandchildren, Erik and Annika Gildow, Nellie, Duncan, and Charlie Ross, Cameron Ross, and Garrison and Rayden Kano.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, November 13, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tony Walliser officiating. Interment will follow in Silverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 - 8 PM Wednesday at Legacy Funeral Home. Christopher Douglas Green, 49, of Rossville, GA passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 in an area hospital. Chris was employed with Shaw Industries and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Rossville. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Green; grandparents, Oscar and Leola Legg and Violet Heard. Survivors include his wife, Maria Simcox Green; daughters, Shelby and Adriel Green; mother, Gloria Faye Dillard. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Victory Baptist Church with Dr. Ernest Groce, Rev. Stephen Kellogg and Rev. Todd Simcox officiating. Interment will follow in Silverdale Cemetery with Jeremy Nix, Steve Woodward, Dwight Heard, Gary Heard, Justin McCrary, Jody Baxter, Eric Legg and Randy Legg serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Victory Baptist Church and on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.
