Donald Louis Howard Sr., 72, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at a local hospital.
Mr. Howard was retired from the Electric Power Board and a member of the IBEW. He was also very involved in the Cumberland Youth Foundation, United Way of Chattanooga, and an active member of Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon, member of the Finance Committee, and as Head Usher.
Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Marie Howard; and sister, Katherine Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Lori Howard (Jeffery) Raymond; son, Donald L. (Tracy) Howard Jr.; brother, Byron Fincher; and grandchildren, Blake Louis Howard and Cody James Raymond.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, at Brainerd Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ron Ragon and the Rev. John Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow in Silverdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Silverdale Cemetery, 6286 White Tail Drive, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363, or Brainerd Presbyterian Church, 1624 Jenkins Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

Peggy Hicks Howard, 75, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, November 10, 2011.
She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, graduated from Central High School and retired from Bell South after 31 years of service.
She was a member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church and was active in Children and Youth Christian Education.
Mrs. Howard volunteered for The Salvation Army and Room at the Inn and was a member of Communication Workers of America. She was a loving mother and Grammy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Howard, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Lori (Jeff) Raymond, Murfreesboro, Donnie (Tracy) Howard, Jr.; two grandchildren, Blake L. Howard, Cody J. Raymond; sisters, Shelby Rogers, Atlanta, Betsy Hicks, Chattanooga; brothers, Lee J. Hicks, Jr., Ronald Hicks, both of Chattanooga and several nieces and nephews.
