William "Bill" L. Brown, 43, of Chattanooga died Monday, March 11, 2002, in Plymouth, Mass., from injuries sustained in an accident.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Brown was a 1977 graduate of Tyner High School and attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College. He was employed with Plumbers and Pipe-Fitters Local Union #43. He was a member of Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his son, Tyler Brown, Charleston, S.C.; mother and stepfather, Ruby and Tom Courtney; father, Johnny Mack Brown; sister, Robbie Lee Dodd; stepbrother, Jason Courtney; and nephews, Kasey and Jordan Dodd, all of Chattanooga.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Silverdale Cemetery with Rev. Bud Russell officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-9 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
