Daughter of Rev. R. Lake & Pauline Wright
Virginia Luke Wright, 93, of Chattanooga died January 28, 2017 in a local health care center.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Miss Wright received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia in 1944 and taught school for over 40 years.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Robert Lake and Virginia Pauline Wright; and brother, Robert Samuel Wright.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Clem, Chattanooga; three nieces, one nephew and her closest friend of 67 years, Jane Moore of Chattanooga.
A graveside service will be held at at the Silverdale Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.
