Jennie Ruth Gray, 93, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Health Center at Standifer Place.
Mrs. Gray was born and raised in Chattanooga and lived all her life in Ooltewah and East Brainerd. She was a lifetime member of Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harry S. Gray; sons, James Raper Gray, Thomas William "Bill" Gray and Zane Rice Gray; sister, Dorothy Louise Lewis; and two brothers, James Kendrick and Tommy Kendrick.
She is survived by her sons, Harry S. (Laurann) Gray Jr., Charleston, S.C., Jack "Jan" Gray, Chattanooga, and Patrick (Mary) Gray, Greenback, TN; brother, Johnny Kendrick, Hayward, CA; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carlton Harper officiating.
Interment will follow at Silverdale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
