ROSSVILLE, GA - Iris B. Flynn, 84, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011, at a local hospital.

She had lived most of her life in Rossville, GA and was of the Baptist Faith.

She retired in 2007 at the age of 80 from the Honors Golf Club with 20 years of service.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and was with each family member on their special days. Her passions in life were her family and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Owens and Charles Flynn; two sons, Kenny and Danny Owens; parents, George and Marion Blackwell; and two brothers, Gus and Bob Blackwell.

Survivors include two daughters, Priscilla Morgan, of Chattanooga, TN, and Teresa Flynn, of Rossville, GA; five sons, Tim (Lynnda) Owens, of LaFayette, GA, Randy (Judy) Owens, of Rossville, GA, Darryl Flynn, of Chattanooga, TN, Damon Flynn, of Rossville, GA, and Nicolas Flynn, of Rossville, GA; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the South Crest Chapel with the Rev. Lamar Moore officiating.

Interment will follow in the Silverdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
