Velma Lee Brooks, 74, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. She was a member of Harbor of Hope Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Mabel Jordan; sisters, Margaret, Myrtle, Evelyn, Joyce and Dorothy; brothers, Ed, James and Robert. Those left to cherish her precious memory include her devoted and loving husband of 54 years, Henry E. Brooks; brother, Bill (Roddy) Jordan; sisters-in-law, Georgeanna Tallent and Lee Etta Jordan; several nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and dear friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Advantage Chapel with burial to follow at Silverdale Cemetery, Charles Jenkins officiating.
Visitation for family and friends noon-7 p.m. today at the chapel.
Arrangements are by Advantage Funeral Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave., 423- 265-4414.
