Thomas R. Jones Sr., 61, of Sale Creek, died on Monday, May 29, 2006, at his home.
He was a member of Dallas Bay Church of God, and had worked for Norfolk Southern for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Janice Jones; son, Thomas R. Jones Jr.; daughters, Terri Higgins, Michelle Reeves; stepsons, James G. Sluder, Anthony Sluder; father, Robert William Jones; brother, Bill Jones of Oregon; sister, Barbara Putnam; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Sonnie Wilkes, the Rev. Charles Patterson and Richard Haston officiating. Interment will follow in Patterson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy.

Janice Sluder Jones, 60, of Sale Creek died on Monday, October 29, 2007 at her home.
She was a member of The Sanctuary Church of God, which was a very big part of her life and she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas R. Jones, Sr., parents; William and Hazel Helton, sister; Barbara Winters, brother; Billy Charles Helton.
She is survived by her sons, Greg Sluder, Anthony Sluder; brother, Curtis Helton; sisters, Mary Sue Elkins, Deloris Horn, Audra Patterson, Connie Sluder, Deborah Crow, Donna McKracken; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Sonny Wilkes and the Rev. Charles Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Patterson Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
