Loving brother, uncle and friend

Mr. Gary Percel McPherson was born on September 12, 1969 to the late George and Dorothy McPherson. He departed this life on Monday, July 23, 2018 at his home.
He was a graduate of Ooltewah High School and a member of St. Peters Baptist Church. Gary was a beloved person in his family and a welcoming presence in his community. He was known for his skills on the grill and graciously welcoming and feeding all who came by.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy McPherson; grandparents, George and Lucille McPherson; siblings, Sheila and Teresa (twins), and Bonita Crockett.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories and mourn his passing fives sisters, Carolyn Collier, Georgia May (Kenneth) Petty, Angela McPherson, Iris Rogers, Karen (Michael) Haywood, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; six brothers, Billy McPherson, Victor (Jackie) McPherson *(their daughters, Apiffinay, Venetta), Wade McPherson, Edwin Darryl McPherson * (his daughter Courtney), Kevin (Winfred) McPherson, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Stacy (Beth) McPherson of San Diego, California; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends; special friends, Dale Edwards, Rodney Humphrey and Carla K. Ward.
The funeral service will be at 12 Noon on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Olivet Baptist Church, 740 East MLK Blvd. Interment: Summit Community Cemetery. The body will lie in state after 12 Noon on Thursday, August 2nd and the family will receive friends from 6 – 7pm at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995
