Mary Lee Byrd died Sunday, May 30, 1999, in a local hospital.
She was 84. Mrs. Byrd was the widow of the late Rev. Albert Byrd.
Survivors include her daughter, Alice Goines; six sons, Thurman, Fredrick, Sherman, Milton and Kelly Byrd and Charles Beard, all of Chattanooga; a sister, Louise Menifee; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Carlton Douglas Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Summitt Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
