Virginia Harris Gamble, 83, formerly of Georgetown, passed away Monday, May 20, 2002, in a local nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Annie Davis Harris; husband, Thurston Gamble; and three brothers: Charles Harris, E.L. Harris and Victor Harris.
Survivors include two brothers: Hubert Harris of Chesterfield, Mich., and Louin Harris of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at East View United Methodist Church in Georgetown at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. David Evans officiating. Interment will be in the Gamble Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Sanders, Bill Sanders, Jim Allison, Ernest Harris, Harold Reno and Bob Caldwell.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. at East View Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 735 Broad St., Suite 300 James Bldg., Chattanooga, TN 37402.
