Juanita May Ramey, 75, of Birchwood, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2011, from a local hospital.
She was a member of Gamble Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Arthur and Ethel Hickman; siblings, Jack, Tom, Clide, Billy Hickman and Janie Banther; grandson, Triston Millsaps.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Ramey; children, Vickie Gann, Debbie Exum, Carolyn Bowman, Betty Brown, Lisa Christopher, Pamala Swafford and Robbie Bandy; brothers and sisters, Lucille Sims, Jewl Dean Ward, LaDonna Davis, Opeal Ruth Slatter, Carol Hickman, Raymond Hickman and John David Hickman; 17 grandchildren, Sheila Black, Joe Gann, Charlie Exum, Christina Bowman, Melissa Shore, Tammy Barr, Tommy Bowman, Lakesha Hale, Samuel Brown, Jr., B. J. Millsaps, Jason Millsaps, Eric Millsaps, Jessica Swafford, Rebecca Swafford , Johnathan Bowman, Branden Bowman and Matthew Bandy; 16 great-grandchildren, Madison Jackson, Ava Black, Dillon Gann, Devean Gann, Bryson Exum, Taylor Exum, Carla Carol, Christopher Carol, Asheley McKinnze, Camron Shore, Drake Barr, Gracie Hale, Rylie Millsaps, Adean Millsaps, Hunter Millsaps and Triston Bowman; special nephew, Jackie Hickman; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012, at Gamble Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Gurney Beard officiating.
Internment will follow in Gamble Road Church Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today and from noon-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home Inc., Highway 58 Chapel, Chattanooga, TN.
