Robert G. Anderson, 73, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015.
He was retired from Cooke's Food Store after 35 years of service. He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louvina (Roy) Faulkner; father, Frank Anderson Jr.; brothers: Willard Anderson and Frank Anderson; and sisters: Margaret Malone and Martha Williams.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Joyce Carolyn Anderson; one son, Robert (Connie) Anderson of Cleveland; one daughter, Penny (Jeff) Bivens of Benton; three granddaughters: Brandy (Michael) George of Cleveland, Jamie (Kevin) McSpadden of Benton, and Amanda Shepard of McMinnville; two grandsons: Timothy (Lacy) Bivens of Benton and Robert Anderson Jr. of Cleveland; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 15, 2015, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Sammy Hooker officiating.
Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
Charles Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Robert Anderson Jr., Timothy Bivens, Kevin McSpadden, and Michael George will serve as pallbearers. Mike Anderson and Ronnie Parker will serve as honorary pallbearers.
