Alex "Red" Poole, 79, of Sale Creek, died on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at his home.

He was a retired construction manager and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II.

He is survived by his sons, Buddy Poole, Dale Poole, both of Bakewell, TN; daughters, Sharon Jones, Dunlap, TN, Alexia Poole, Atlanta; brother, Archie Poole, Sale Creek; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, in the chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. David Haynes officiating. Interment will follow in Shelton Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
