Terry Marie Tallent, 59, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at her home in Graysville.
She was born Nov. 28, 1959, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Billy and Gladys Gill, both of Detroit, Mich. She was a widow to the late James H. Tallent Sr., of Dayton. Jim and Terry had five children, Janet Miles, Stephen Smart of Onieda, Tenn., James H. "Jimbo" Tallent, Tina Everett and Scott Tallent. They also had 14 grandchildren.
Terry, a native of Detroit, Mich., met Jim in Battle Creek, Mich., and married in 1986 and then moved to Rhea County. She worked in different aspects of food services, her last place of employment being with Argo's Food Service and then Argo's Restaurant.
Terry was preceded in death by her two brothers, Rick and Chris Gill.
Survivors include three brothers, Donnie and Jeff Gill and Tommy Morris all of Michigan; and one sister, Linda Porter, of Spring City.
Terry was a kind and caring woman who would try to help anyone she could. She loved animals, the outdoors, flowers and birds.
She will be cremated and her remains buried with her husband, Jim, at Shelton Cemetery in Sale Creek, Tenn., on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at 2 p.m. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life which all family and friends are welcome to attend.
