Nita Jean “Meemaw” Fox, 94, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 peacefully at her home. She was born November 25, 1926 to the late Ray Davis and Margaret Davenport. Nita Jean graduated from Sale Creek High School. She was a faithful member of the Hixson United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Son Rise Choir and the McConnell Sunday School Class.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Fox and her siblings, Clarice Ryon and Al Ray Davis.
She is survived by her children, Thomas L. Fox, Jr., Cheryl L. Fox, Glenda F. Sullivan and Janis Webb; grandchildren, Thomas L. Fox III, Tony Fox, Brian Sullivan, Josh Sullivan, Jamie Sims and Jill Webb; sisters, Martha Kay Thomas and Billie Joyce Francisco; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
