George R. Yother of Soddy-Daisy died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at his home.
He was 94. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mac Johnson Yother, two sons, Vander L. and Irvin Yother; and a daughter, Annette Yother.
He was a retired coal mine operator and a member of South Soddy Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Hayes, Hixson, and Jeanette Painter, Soddy-Daisy; two sons, James "J.L." Yother and Roy Yother, both of Soddy-Daisy; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Yother officiating.
Burial will be in Varner Cemetery on Montlake Mountain.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
