Carrie Denise Coffman Lewis, 47, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 19, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, of the Baptist faith, and attended Green Pond Baptist Church. She graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School in 1993 and received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Chattanooga State. Carrie was the office manager in her family owned business, New Salem Alignment for over 20 years. Her passions included attending her daughter’s sporting activities, four-wheeling adventures and camping trips. She enjoyed dirt track racing, especially when it involved family and friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Frankie Hardyman Coffman; grandparents, Hoyt Coffman, Mary Lee Wampler and Dorothy Routt.
Survivors are the love of her life and husband of 16 years, Jason Lewis; daughter, Carlie Lewis; step-son, Takoda Johnson; father, Charles Coffman, Sr.; siblings, Charles Coffman, Jr. (Stacy) and Jerry Coffman; niece, Ashley Rutherford; nephew, Braxton Coffman; great nephew, Logan Coffman; great niece, Emma Rutherford; several aunts, uncles, extended family and countless friends.
Visitation is on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wilburn Hardyman and Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow at Grant-Varner Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a Celebration of Carrie’s life at the Mountain Heights Venue, 1298 Hendon Road, Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee beginning at 4:00 p.m., everyone welcome.
