Lloyd A. "Smitty" Smith Sr., 76, Soddy-Daisy, Tn. entered into eternal rest Monday, December 12, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was retired from Combustion Engineering after 32 years of service and was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 656. He was a Christian and he attended the Church of Christ at Daisy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Red and Irene Smith; sister, Mary Ginn; brother, Elnore Smith; grandson, Adam Sneed; sons-in-law, "Snake" Sneed and Wayne Syler.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Knight Smith; children, Debbie (Tom Colbaugh) Syler, Lisa Smith, Leslie (Buster) Whittenburg, Lloyd Allen (Tami) Smith Jr.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; niece, Judy (Terry) Gann, extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jerry Clements officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Union Fork Cemetery.

Family will receive friends after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Special thanks to the staff at Soddy-Daisy Health Care and Hospice of Chattanooga.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Church of Christ at Daisy.

Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, Tn.

Peggy Ann Knight Smith, 69, of Dayton, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 11, 2017. She was a retired seamstress from varied sources, including Star Knit Wear Filter Specialists and her last employment with the Family Dollar in Soddy Daisy. She was a Christian and attended the Church of Christ at Flat Top, Graysville and Dayton.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Lloyd A. Smith Sr.; mother, Pearl Uren; grandson, Adam Sneed, and two sons in laws, “Snake” Sneed and Wayne Syler.

She is survived by her children; Lisa Smith, Leslie (Buster) Whittenburg, Lloyd Allen (Tami) Smith Jr., and step daughter Debbie Syler; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; aunt, Betty Vaughn; niece, Judy (Terry) Gann; and special friends, Therese Suddeth, Patsy Conner and Donna Steele.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Jerry Clements presiding. Interment will follow at Union Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15.
