Erma Obit:

Erma E. Settles, 83, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Friday, April 9, 2004, at a local health care facility.

She was a member of the Soddy Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Settles; parents, Gordon and Clara Heard; brothers, Fred Heard, Clinton Heard.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura Mae Treadwell of Tacoma, Wash., Thelma Jo Treadwell of Battle Creek, Mich., Brenda Sue Keltch of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Earl Heard of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters, Bobbie Keltch of Sale Creek, Wilma Perry of Cleveland, Ohio, Dollie Fugate of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Minister Bill Greer officiating.

Interment will follow in Union Fork Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
