Mary Pearl Combs Gibson, 80, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, in a local nursing home.
She was born in Rhea County, TN, to the late Draper Lee and Nellie Couch Combs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Warren Gibson.
She was a member of Indian Springs Church of God in Ringgold, GA.
She is survived by her four sons, Leon Gibson, of Chattanooga, Jerry Gibson, of Jettison, MI, Mike Gibson and Ken Gibson, both of Chattanooga; brother, George Combs, of Pisgah, AL; two sisters, Betty Jewell, of Florida, and Linda Combs, of Alabama; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in East Soddy Church of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, obit line, 861-1060.
