Laurel Obit:
Laurel Varner Herman, age 70, was born in Soddy Daisy to the late Tommie C. and Mildred Duggan Varner. She was a 1968 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School.
She was preceded in death by her most precious and beautiful only daughter, Doctor Leslie Herman-Cavallaro. Also her sister Beverly Varner Herman and brother Malcom Varner.
She is survived by her son in law Vince Cavallaro and her sisters, Carol Varner Hamrick, Linda Varner Ricketts (Tom) and sister in law Janice Varner. Her brothers Kenneth (Rita) Varner and Norman (Aileen) Varner and several nieces and nephews
Services will be graveside on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at East Soddy Community Cemetery with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leslie Obit:
Dr. Leslie Dawn Herman Cavallaro, 46, of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away on December 28, 2017. A native of Soddy-Daisy, she was a graduate of Vanderbilt Medical School and went on to practice as a Hospitalist at Erlanger Medical Center. She also taught as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine with the University of Tennessee. A member of Christ Family Church, she was a very caring person who loved her dogs, Oakley and Courage very much. In lieu of flowers please give to the Red Cross where she volunteered.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent Anthony Cavallaro; mother, Laurel Adel Varner Herman of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee; father, Fred Lee Herman of Alvin, Texas and many extended family members.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
