Barbara's Obit:
 Barbara A. Duggan Laymon, 85, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at a local hospital.  She was a devoted and beloved Christian wife and mother.  She was a member of the East Soddy Church of God. 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Everett Hamilton Laymon, mother and father; Clarence and Della Ryder Duggan, brothers; Burl, Clarence, Jr., and Ross Duggan, sisters; Margaret  Myrl and Billie Jean Duggan, Dixie Donaldson, Evelyn Rose, Naomi Varnes and Mildred Varner.

   She is survived by her four loving children who were blessed to call her Mother; daughter and caregiver; Sue, Shelia (Reuben) Gage, sons; Clarence (Sandra) Laymon, Gilbert (Ann) Laymon all of Soddy-Daisy, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters; Clarice Smith, Inez Smith of Soddy-Daisy, brother; Glen Duggan of Hixson, several nieces and nephews.  A special thanks to Ruth Gooden for her invaluable assistance in caring for Mother.

   Funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Rick Smith and the Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating.  Interment will follow the service in East Soddy Community Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
