Floyd “Alfred” Leffew, 77, of Soddy-Daisy, entered the world on January 17, 1944. Alfred was welcomed home with his Lord and Savior on August 24, 2021 while surrounded by his cherished family and friends. Alfred was a long standing member at Christ Family Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Nina Leffew; brothers, Roscoe and Gene Leffew.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Phyllis Walker Leffew; four sons, Tracy Leffew, Brian Leffew (Christy), Mark Leffew (Delphia) and Eric Leffew (Rhonda). Alfred was blessed with four grandchildren, Justin Leffew, Brianna Leffew Szollosi (Joey), Hannah Leffew and Alexis Leffew; two great grandchildren, Keith Leffew and Cooper Szollosi; brothers and sisters, Linda Beaty, Kenny Leffew (Ginger), Randy Leffew, Debbie Leffew Parker along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Family Church with Bishop Calvin Nunley and Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Alfred will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church before the service. Burial will be at East Soddy Community Cemetery. Alfred’s four sons, Tracy, Brian, Mark and Eric will honor their father serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Due to the current rise in the pandemic and respect for the family please wear a mask if you plan to attend the visitation or service.
