Nola Louise Smith, 85, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at a local health care center.

She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and her church friends dearly. Her favorite hobby was quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Anderson Smith; son, Leon “Honky” Smith.

She is survived by her sons, Don “Red” Smith, William Robert Smith, Gene Smith; daughters, Hazel Walker, Trish Fletcher, Brenda Sims, Linda Sneed; sister, Dorothy Hodges; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. J.D. Gibson and the Rev. Vernon Sneed officiating. Interment will follow in East Soddy Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and son-in-law.

The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Soddy-Daisy Health Care and Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care that they gave to Mrs. Smith.
