DUNLAP - James Elmer Stewart, 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday Nov. 8, 2005.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Elvan Stewart.
He was retired from the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. after 36 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Parker Stewart; four daughters, Judy (Danny) Wyman, of Dunlap, Joyce (Harley) Sneed and JoAnn (Howard Varner) Hickman, of Soddy-Daisy, and June (Darrin) Campis, of Algonac, Mich.; one son, James A. (Martha Boyer) Stewart, of Dunlap; one brother, Estel Stewart, of Soddy-Daisy; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers, Danny Wyman Jr., Jason Bice, Wayne Essex, Roddy Hickman, Josh Boyer and Franklin Holliday.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. CST Friday in Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Young officiating.
Burial will be in Smith Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST Thursday.
Arrangements are by Ewton Funeral Home, 6936 Highway 28, Dunlap.

DUNLAP - Josephine Parker Stewart, 78, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Stewart; parents, Jess and Della Smith Parker; and brother, Bud Parker.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy (Danny) Wyman, Dunlap, Joyce (Harley) Sneed and JoAnn (Howard Varner) Hickman, both of Soddy-Daisy, June Campis, Algonac, Mich.; son, James A. (Martha) Stewart, Dunlap; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; greatgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. CDT Monday July 2, in the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery located in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.
Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. CDT Monday.
