Daniel C. Smith, who was born in 1825, married Cassandra Gann.
Daniel C. Smith left behind six children as well as a child, Cassandra, whom he never saw because she was born about the time of his death. The other children were Sophronia, Jackson Yarnell, Lorenzo, Daniel Boone, Abraham R. and Mary Elizabeth.
Sophronia Smith married Joseph Gann.
The Smith Cemetery is nearby on Hamill Road. Among those buried there are Allen K. Smith, Daniel C. Smith, Daniel Boone Smith, Abraham R. Smith, Jackson Yarnell Smith, Sophronia Smith Gann and Cassandra Gann Smith.
