Loving Father

Virgil Morgan, 93, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2008, in a local nursing home. 

He was of the Church of God faith and retired from General Motors. 

Virgil was preceded in death by two wives, Artie and Ruth Morgan, children, Wilburn “Rudy” Morgan and Josephine Morgan along with 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

Survivors include sons, Hershell “Buddy” Morgan, Harley Gene Morgan and Lonnie Morgan; daughters, Brenda Francis and Laura Morgan; sister Margie Smith; 18 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday after 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
