In God's Loving Care
Obituary:
Emual Joe Smartt), 89, of Georgetown passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, with his loved ones by his side. Joe was one of the kindest men ever. He never met a stranger. He served in the Army Military Police in the early 1950’s and retired from Combustion Eng. after 35 years as an inspector. Joe was a member of Mowbray Church of God and attended faithfully for over 70 years. Joe loved to travel – he and his fiancé, Carolyn, traveled the lower 48 states, Canada, and Old Mexico. They also went on a cruise to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands where Joe swam with and fed the stingrays.
He was preceded in death by his, parents, Thomas and Sara Smartt; wife, Betty K. Smartt; sister, Reba Daniels, brother, Grady Smartt, and half-brothers, Paul and Oscar Mosgrove.
