Evelyn's obituary:

Ruth Evelyn Lewis, 82, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2008. She was a lifelong member of the Mowbray Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Lewis, Jr.; parents, Jasper and Della Millsaps; brothers, Arthur Millsaps, W. R. Millsaps, and Carlos Millsaps.

She is survived by daughters, Connie (Ken) May of  Soddy-Daisy, Carol (Dennis) Hutton of Goodlettsville, TN, Janet (Dennis) Morgan of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; brothers, Raymond and Leland Millsaps, both of Soddy-Daisy; sister-in-laws, Blanche, Shirley, Maude and Margaret  Millsaps; grandchildren, Jon, Keith and Melissa May, Matt Hutton, and Jared Morgan; great-grandchildren,  Heather, Savannah, Amanda, and Gary May, and Adara Joiner.

The graveside funeral service will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Millsaps cemetery with Pastor Steve Hensley officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is Saturday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
