Della Mae Privett, a resident of Soddy-Daisy, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at her home. She was 87.
Mrs. Privett was a member of the Daisy Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruby Privett; and a son, Thomas Edward Privett.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas H. Privett; seven daughters, Pauline P. Larkin, Maude P. Millsaps, Catherine Clemons, Sylvia Lovelady, Jessie Dobbs, Karen Johnson, and Terry Scott, all of Soddy-Daisy; four sons, Hayden Privett, Soddy-Daisy, Clayton Privett, Dyersburg, Tenn., Lloyd Privett, Hixson, and Bobby Privett, Soddy-Daisy; one sister, Marie Hayes, Chattanooga; two brothers, Malcolm Brown, Soddy-Daisy, and Harrison Brown, Chattanooga; 31 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Daisy Church of God with the Rev. Warren Beavers and the Rev. Clayton Privett officiating. Burial will be in Millsaps Cemetery. Visitation will be today after 10 a.m. Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Thomas H. Privett, 100, of Soddy Daisy, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at his home.
He was of the Church of God faith and retired from Combustion Engineering in 1972 after 30 years of service.
Mr. Privett was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Della Mae Privett; son, Thomas Edward Privett; daughter, Ruby Beatrice Privett; parents, John William and Maude Privett; brother, Georgie L. Privett and sister, Lassie Bowers.
He is survived by his children, Pauline (Floyd) Dennis of Hixson, Hayden (Evelyn) Privett of Soddy Daisy, Maude Millsaps of Soddy Daisy, Mirt (Herby) Clemons of Soddy Daisy, Bishop Clayton (Charlotte) Privett of Whitwell, Sylvia (Morris) Lovelady of Soddy Daisy, Jessie (James) Dobbs of Soddy Daisy, Lloyd (Gladys) Privett of Hixson, Karen Johnson of Soddy Daisy, Bobby (Darlene) Privett of Soddy Daisy, Terri Scott of Soddy Daisy along with 29 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, February 6, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Daisy Church of God with Bishop Clayton Privett officiating. Mr. Privett will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Millsaps Cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation is Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to Caris Healthcare.
