Harry Wendell Shipley of Hixson died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at his home.

He was 69. Mr. Shipley was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

He was a past master of Hixson Masonic Lodge 727 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Vandergriff Shipley.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Shipley, Harrison, Tenn., Roger and Michael Woodward, both of Hixson; two brothers, Perry W. Shipley, Harrison, and L. Patrick Shipley, East Ridge.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Wilson and the Rev. Curtis Henderson officiating.

Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery with a graveside Masonic service.

Visitation will be today after 1 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Marjorie V. Shipley of Hixson died Saturday, July 11, 1998, in a local hospital.

She was 66. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Wilson and the Rev. Curtis Henderson officiating.

Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
