Robert Clinton Simmons, 43, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at a local hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Simmons graduated from Hixson High School and was employed by the Matthews Construction Co.
Survivors include his daughter, Misty Simmons; father and mother, Rev. Aaron C. and Barbara Simmons of Soddy-Daisy; brothers, Rodger Simmons and wife, Rhonda, Kenny Simmons and wife, Coyelette, Aaron Troy Simmons and wife, Angie; one sister, Tammy Byrd and husband, Bo; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Belcher; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday in the chapel of Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. James Sandell and Rev. Carlos Swafford officiating.
Interment will follow at Dodds Cemetery in Soddy-Daisy.
Family will receive friends from noon-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Friday
