Carleta Sue Poole, age 80, resident of Lakeland, departed this life Saturday, December 10, 2016 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Poole will be conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment in the Cordova Cemetery in Cordova, Tennessee. A visitation for Mrs. Poole will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Poole was born January 28, 1936 in Kennett, Missouri. She received her education at Senath High School in Missouri and was married September 18, 1955 to Ephran Burt Poole. She was a member of Cordova Baptist Church. She was a church organist for over 50 years and was employed as a secretary for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Poole enjoyed camping, going to yard sales and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Buel Harris and Lois Irene Pitts Harris; her sister, Marshann Brumley; and her brother, Donald Harris.
